Seawake Gin
When sustainable packaging
for gin meets design
In the world of artisanal spirits, identity makes the difference.
Seawake Gin, created by the Bolognese liqueur company Bad Spirits, is a perfect example of how sustainable gin packaging can become an integral part of the product’s story.
Founded in 2015 by Andrea De Cinque and his son Alessandro, Bad Spirits was born from a shared passion for the world of beverages and Andrea’s thirty years of experience in the sector. The goal? Creating high-quality artisanal liqueurs and spirits that combine authenticity, aesthetics, and respect for the environment.
A project with a green heart
Seawake Gin celebrates the sea, freedom, and sustainability in every detail, starting with its packaging.
To best express these values, Bad Spirits has chosen one of Estal’s most iconic designer gin bottles: the FARM from the Rude Collection, made from Wild Glass, a 100% post-consumer recycled glass.
Wild Glass enhances the natural imperfections of the material, making each bottle unique and conveying a strong message: beauty can (and must) be sustainable.
Completing the packaging is the Corkcoal®️ stopper, innovative and natural, made from cork and activated carbon, and the UPM Ocean Action label, made from self-adhesive material derived from plastic destined for oceans, through a mass balancing process. 🌊
A perfect balance between aesthetics and responsibility
The harmony between materials, shapes, and values makes Seawake Gin a case of excellence in the field of recycled glass packaging for gin.
Every element of the project speaks of respect for the environment without sacrificing the elegance of the design and the recognizability of the product.
A coherent and refined packaging that perfectly interprets the soul of the brand and the new consumer sensitivity towards more sustainable choices. aware.
The collaboration with Gruppo Saida
For the project, Bad Spirits relied on Gruppo Saida, the exclusive distributor of Estal bottles in Italy and a point of reference for distilleries and designers looking for sustainable packaging solutions for gin and spirits.
The collaboration allowed them to combine the quality of Estal materials with the aesthetic vision of Bad Spirits, resulting in a result that combines innovation, sustainability, and design made in Italy.
Seawake demonstrates that sustainable packaging for gin can be much more than an ethical choice: it can become a true brand language, capable of communicating values, identity, and vision through every detail.
A project heading in the right direction—that of the future of packaging.
