Gruppo Saida partners with Extra Virgin Guide 2024

Guide to Extravergins 2024
The Guide to Extravergins 2024 (available for purchase at this LINK), edited by Slow Food Editore and Slow Food Italy, has been a valuable tool for discovering oils, histories and territories for 24 years. With the contribution of 125 contributors distributed through out Italy, experts in the world of oil and the territory, the Guide has reviewed 686 companies, pointing out as many as 1071 extra virgin oils of excellence: a detailed snapshot of the Italian olive growing panorama, highlighting the best national productions.
For Slow Food, oil is not only a fundamental element of our culture, but also plays a central role in protecting the territory, shaping the landscape and constituting a major economic and social resource.
During the Guide’s presentation ceremony, held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at MAXXI – National Museum of the 21st Century Arts, in front of the Guide’s award-winning olive
growers from all over Italy, Federico Varazi, vice president of Slow Food Italy, and Francesca Baldereschi, editor of the Guide, presented the prestigious awards to mills that have distinguished themselves for their commitment to safeguarding biodiversity and producing quality oils, especially in the most difficult areas.
Special mentions on behalf of Gruppo Saida
Gruppo Saida was entrusted with the delivery of two special mentions dedicated to the companies Vincenzo Marvulli, which for decades has been passionately cultivating olive trees in an area that is not easy and dealing with cultivars not known to the market, and Cab Terra di Brisighella and its members, which obtained the oil of the Olivi Secolari Presidium even in such a difficult year, marked by floods and land slides that hit the territory of Brisighella in Romagna.
For the two mentions we thought of a special prize, our brand new California, from the Horizon Collection, further enhanced by a beautiful gold foil graphic applied directly on the bottle.
Gruppo Saida has chosen to embrace Slow Food’s philosophy in defense of good, clean and fair olive growing, contributing to the production of the Guide and participating in its presentation together with the other partners involved, BioEsperia and BioEsperia e RICREA. 🌿
